My Analytics is an area on the Trax web platform where users can create, view, and share reports and analytics. They can also go to an analytics Marketplace to search and browse for any reports or analytics they may be interested in.
My role was the UX Designer on this project. I also worked with a UI Designer, the CEO, as well as the Business Intelligence (BI) team. The UI Designer and I worked with the CEO who wrote up user stories and explained to us his vision. The BI team was utilized as our Subject Matter Experts, giving us the perspective from the end-user. While working through this project we also had to work within the constraints of the third party analytics tool Tableau.
I spent time researching existing websites which had search capabilities, such as Google image search and Netflix. I also researched 'share' capabilities such as sharing a file in Gmail. From this research, sketches and wireframes were created. These mockups were then shared with the BI team and CEO and iterated on.
As a result, not only did I create mockups for an immediate MVP, but I also created mockups for future phases, keeping in mind features and functionality we wanted to incorporate in later iterations.
